About us

One of Queensland’s leading and most respected disability organisations, Horizon Foundation Inc. started in Capalaba, Queensland in 1981.

Over 120 staff are employed by the organisation, which assists over 1300 people through a diverse range of services and programs, each year.

Employment and training is offered to eligible job-seekers who face barriers to employment due to disability, illness, injury or other needs. Horizon Specialised Training and Link Personnel help hundreds of people each year to gain training, and to find and hold down a job.

Horizon employs 33 people with disabilities in its two Horizon Business Enterprises, Marketforce Mail & Finishing Services, and Wire & Wood Products. Meaningful work is provided with full award conditions provided for employees.

Horizon also supports families and individuals , including facilitation of a family support program through the Axiom Family Support Program.

Post-school services include Clear Horizons, which delivers group and one-on-one post-school programs; Rec Club, a weekend recreation program; and community access for those on the Gold Coast through the COAST service.

We have six office locations serving the geographic area between Brisbane's south east corridor down to the NSW border.
