Our Vision

Horizon envisions a community where people with disabilities are respected as equals, valued by all, provided with opportunities to participate in all that life has to offer and embraced for who they are not what they can or can't do.

We will know we have achieved our vision when;

carers no longer feel the need to stay at home for fear of a person with a disability being shunned when they visit the local shopping centre

receiving a support service is not something that people with a disability should feel "lucky" about

parents call to say that we have positively changed their child's life in ways that were unimaginable in the past

employers call us to thank us for our assistance in finding very exceptional employees who just happen to have a disability

people with a disability or their parent/carers no longer fear for the future

people with a disability leave a legacy of hope, inspiration and achievement and lay a footprint for others to follow

people with a disability are assisted widely by friends and the community rather than just by their families or paid support services

rights, respect and dignity are not issues that need to be fought for

and opportunity abounds for all
